East Brunswick Township to conduct community food drive

The East Brunswick Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services will hold a food drive April 6, 7, 9 and 10 to benefit the community. Donations may be dropped off 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the rec office, 334 Dunhams Corner Road.

Items sought include rice, cereal, beans, jelly, peanut butter, canned fruit/vegetables, soup, tuna fish, pasta, sauce, macaroni and cheese, canned meats, beans, paper products, toiletries, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap, baby products, diapers, wipes, etc. Donations in glass jars or bottles will not be accepted.

 

Vendors needed for May 2 flea market

Vendors are needed for the Friends of the North Brunswick Senior Center flea market, which will be held 8 a.m.-1 p.m. May 2 at the Senior Center, 15 Linwood Place, North Brunswick.

Fire company offers Easter plant selection

North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Co. No. 3 will hold an Easter plant sale at the firehouse, 1470 Cozzens Lane.

Varieties of azaleas, daffodils, gardenias, hyacinths, hydrangeas, mums, lilies and tulips will be available.

Hours are 1-8 p.m. April 1-2, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. April 3, and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. April 4. If needed, additional hours will begin at 9 a.m. until the plants sell out.


East Brunswick: A Call for Artists . . .

If you are an artist and would like to participate in the Fine Arts Festival, please call the Department of Recreation and Parks at 732-390-6797 for a Prospectus Brochure and registration form. All entries will be juried. Artist applications must be received by May 15. Students in grades 6-12 who are East Brunswick residents are also eligible to participate in this year’s show. Their work will be judged and ribbons awarded.
